Starting on Monday 20th October 2025 we will be launching on the day Owl Encounters. Every day there will be an opportunity for the Finkley visitors to join the falconers in the arena to meet and fly one of our 6 (soon be be 7!) very unique but equally beautiful owl team members.

DAYS AVAILABLE: all year round, every day (dependent on staff availability and weather conditions)
PLACES AVAILABLE PER DAY: 6 (in busy seasons/ weekends we may open a second flying session per day- this would take place after our PM meet and greet encounter)
TIME: Will differ with the season so please check the boards located at the Hawk Hangar Bird Aviaries

The Business end of things!
PRICE: £15pp
WHEN and WHERE TO BOOK: Places will open up after our morning meet and greet encounter (10.30am) and will close before our midday flying demonstration/ meet and greet talk. Places are booked directly with the falconry team at the Hawk Hangar- see number 42 on the Finkley Map (above).
CAN I PRE-BOOK?: These encounters are only bookable on the day and are first come-first served basis so to avoid disappointment head straight to the HAWK HANGAR at 10.30am. If you would like to pre-book an experience please see our Falconers Favourites experience.
HOW DO I PAY? Payments can be made in cash or card. Unfortunately for this type of experience we will not accept cheques or BACS payments.
DISCOUNT? There are no discounts available for the On-the-day encounters, however if you book a Falconers Favourite Experience within 1 months of attending your owl encounter you will receive a 15% discount.
Other FAQs
CAN MY CHILD PARTICIPATE? It depends on their age, we have a minimum flying age of 6 years old. This is due to the weight and quick movement of some of the birds.
CAN MY FAMILY WATCH? Of course they can. Family and friends are welcome to watch the experience from the seats in the arena. From here they can cheer you on, take lots of photos and share the moment with you.
CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I HAVE LIMITED MOBILITY? Of course! Our experiences are open to everyone, however please do let the team know beforehand if you have any disabilities, learning or mobility difficulties, any injuries or medical information you feel may be relevant… and of course any phobias! This means we can choose the correct owl and adapt how we fly to give you the best experience possible.
DO I NEED TO WEAR ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR? Other than being prepared for a day at the farm (suncream and caps vs wellies and waterproofs depending on the weather) we will provide all you need, and will give a short ‘how to’ and safety demonstration before we begin.
